Words inspired, connected, and transformed as they took center stage at the Jerald Jude Spelling Bee, hosted by the University of Nueva Caceres and organized by the College of Engineering and Architecture, on August 1, 2026.

The event brought together talented young spellers in a celebration of academic excellence, confidence, and the pursuit of knowledge. It began with a Welcome Address on behalf of Dr. Fay Lea Patria M. Lauraya, University President, delivered by Arvin Sibulo, Arvin Sibulo, Senior High School Principal, followed by an inspiring Message from Dr. Susan Collano.

Participants were further encouraged through an Inspirational Message delivered by Rev. Kristin Elliott, Advisor of the Jerald Jude Chavez Campana, who reminded everyone that perseverance, discipline, and a passion for learning were the true foundations of success.

The program concluded with heartfelt Closing Remarks from Gloria Ocol Labuanan, Director of the UNC Alumni Association, and Sheila Chavez, Executive Director of the Jerald Jude Spelling Bee Philippines, who recognized the remarkable efforts of the participants, organizers, coaches, and supporters in making the event a meaningful success.
